This intensive retreat is open to all desiring knowledge, tools, and experiential learning to master your breath. It is not academic learning or a set of prescribed practices. In this 3-day intensive we share living wisdom that is constantly alive in the breath. This is not my course but it’s the original Level 1 training that I first took with my mentor Tracey 8 years ago. We will be co-facillitating in a beautiful space on Bainbridge Island. I encourage you to consider carving time and space for yourself to be with yourself and your breath. It will forever change your life, just like it did mine.

Many people have developed a restricted and shallow breath pattern, which directly impacts our bodies and minds. Restrictions in the breath are related to fears, suppressed emotions, stuck energy from the past, and any experiences of overwhelm. Over time these restrictions become “coping” mechanisms that build internal pressure leading to disease, mental challenges, and unconscious behaviors. This inner pressure can amplify physical pain. It can also cause protective states of hyper vigilance or numbness that ultimately may dull our capacity to experience love, joy, and pleasure.

This retreat/training offers you the chance to slow down and do your own work in 5 facilitated group breath sessions over 3 days with experienced senior facilitators. Breathing a connected breath pattern is therapeutic and reveals layers of tension that have been ignored, suppressed, or you’re unaware of them. We want to open, be aware, and consciously let them go. During this 3-day course:

  • clear your breath pattern over 5 sessions

  • delve into the anatomy of breath

  • learn to identify breath patterns and open them

  • learn the dance between breathing and thinking

  • extensive breath manual

  • opportunities for discussion and questions

  • exploring the overarching framework of knowing one’s true nature

Your body will feel better. Your mind will become clear. And you’ll be able to make better decisions and step forward with profoundly more ease and vitality! You may even share your insights insights with friends and family.

If you're a practitioner, you get to do your own work first and learn about the breath in order to deeply apply it.

Whoever you are, you will get something out of this training, because we all breathe. When we practice a conscious, connected breath, we touch the root causes of compounded tension, suppressed emotions, and physical contractions allowing integration and tools you may revisit for a lifetime.

This intensive is from the original Breathing Mandala Breath Awareness Level 1 course by Tracey Stover and Dave Merrill.
