Find the perfect practice to inspire you

I’ve never been able to sit still. My journey with yoga began after walking into a yoga class at the YMCA in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the 90s. My body was not the bendy type, and, at the time, yoga helped me to stretch and recover from snow sports, hiking, climbing, and waiting tables.

After settling in Seattle, yoga became an essential practice in preparation for the birth and recovery of my two children. It has saved me from panic attacks. I overcame shoulder pain, chronic hip pain (at one point I couldn’t bend over to put my socks on), and balanced scoliosis in my back to where one chiropractor told me, “you don’t look as bad in person as this x-ray shows.”

Having a consistent and varied yoga practice has paid me back 100-fold in keeping my head above the water while navigating the ups and downs of life.

Yoga is a way of you caring for you without adding a burden to your life, but rather lightening it. Over the years, I have found therapeutic breathwork to be the most direct means to nourish the body and psyche in profoundly healing and beneficial ways.

Given that most folks are using less than 50% of breath capacity, breath can be either a cause or remedy for dis-ease. When one learns to master their own breath, they naturally discover more ease and health. I listen deeply to track tension patterns that restrict breathing and show folks through hands-on and verbal coaching how to turn their breath back on.

Right now I am offering a weekly 2-hour class on most Wednesday evenings (yoga + breathwork) along with workshops that will pop up on the schedule below. ✌🏼✨
